Something For Everyone: Las Vegas' Best Fall Festivals

The autumn season has finally arrived and that means it's time to spend your weekends at the fall festivals around Las Vegas. These nine festivals will have your weekends booked all October and into November.

What: Bikefest Rockfest
Why: A series of free concerts complement the 11th Annual Las Vegas BikeFest during Rockfest at the Fremont Street Experience. From Thursday, September 29 through Sunday, October 2, catch entertainment by some of the world's best rock tribute bands. On Saturday night, movie and television star Dan Aykroyd will sign bottles of his Crystal Head Vodka at The Fitz entrance next to the 3rd Street Stage, while the Blues Brothers Reborn will play some classic hits. Other acts pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, The Doors, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin and more.

What: Festivino
Why: You love Bordeaux, and now you have an excuse to celebrate the entire month. With special menus at restaurants at the Venetian and Palazzo, Festivino kicks off on September 30, 5pm-9pm with a Bordeaux tasting event featuring acclaimed wineries such as Château Giscours and Reserve de Barons de Rothschild red and white with small bites from featured restaurants in the waterfall atrium and gardens. Tickets for the opening night are $40.

What: Oktoberfest
Why: Lederhosen are optional at this celebration of German and French food. Keeping with the Oktoberfest tradition, Morels is serving authentic German steins of popular German beers and their own variation on sausage that includes wild boar, bratwurst, Toulouse and venison for $17. Quaff a Franziskaner dunkel weissef, Weihenstephaner hefe weissbeer or a Warsteiner pilsner for $8 for 12 ounces or $12 for a half-liter stein.

What: Pubtoberfest
Why: The Pub at Monte Carlo puts its own spin on the Bavarian beer festival with 17-day festival that turns the bar into a lively beer garden, with more than 25 beers and all-you-can drink beer sampling for $25. Throughout the day, sink some shots at the beer pong tournaments or show off at the "Das Boot" beer chugging competition. There will also be a popular sing-a-long of dueling pianos with a Bavarian twist -- German drinking songs -- at 5pm, followed by an eating challenge featuring 50 of The Pub's famous sliders at 6pm.

What: 18th Annual Renaissance Fair
Why: For just $10 for adults and $5 for kids, you can see costumed knights, knaves, fine ladies and wenches during Clark County and Recreation's 18th Annual Renaissance Fair. Costumed performers will present more than 50 shows per day along with historical re-enactments, jousting tournaments, medieval pageantry and lots of artisans (blacksmiths, stained glass designers, jewelers, wood workers, etc.) demonstrating and selling their wares.

What: Second Annual Nevada Wild Fest
Why: This country-western state fair style event brings out barbecue and Dock Dogs competitions during the second annual Nevada Wild Fest. Carnival rides, midway games, food, haunted house and more offer up fun for the whole family. Admission is $9. Thursday night, Kevin Cadogen of Third Eye Blind and Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats perform. Friday night features Juice Newton, while Sixpence None the Richer performs Saturday night.

What: Green Girl Music & Arts Festival
Why: Celebrate female musicians, artists and performers while embracing and encouraging green practices and initiatives in the community during the Green Girl Music & Arts Festival. The event is free to the public.
When: October 14, 5pm-8pm

What: Golden Nugget Second Annual Fall Beer Festival
Why: This two-day festival brings together consumers, craft beer vendors, live music, great food and hundreds of beers in two very different events. On Friday, head to the All American Craft Beer Tasting with more than 120 craft beer selections and chef-inspired appetizers for $50. On Saturday, sip on suds during the Oktoberfest Pool Party for free. Beer enthusiasts can enjoy 200 different international and domestic beers available for purchase while listening to an authentic German Oktoberfest band.

What: Fresh52 Harvest Festival
Why: Look for face painting, a kids art patch, pumpkin decorating, apple cider and hot chocolate, live entertainment, pie eating contest, games and prizes and more during Fresh52's Harvest Festival. Pick up fresh seasonal produce, baked goods, gourmet olive oils, salsas, sauces, nuts, handmade modern crafts, artisans and more during the market as well.
When: November 12, 8am-3pm
